OUR MISSION

The Doc Griggs Foundation's  mission is to improve the well-being of communities across the country by raising the level of health awareness and creating a wellness culture by working with social organizations, faith-based organizations, city government and health advocacy organizations. The objective is to help our communities - Get Checked. Get Fit. Get Moving!®  Your support will help continue and enhance programs that deliver health education, encourage screenings, regular check-ups along with making healthy choices when eating, and promote the benefits of movement through activities such as walking, running, biking, line dancing, and second lines.

Like New Orleans, our nation's communities are very diverse. Just as gumbo has multiple ingredients contributing to its unique flavor, multiple cultures contribute to the makeup of our neighborhoods.  Doc Griggs’ approach embraces this and he works with a diverse group of organizations, utilizing a comprehensive and creative approach to engage men, women, and children of all heritages and backgrounds.

Please join with our efforts to spread the message of health to the City of New Orleans and communities across the globe.  We are more than survivors….we are WELL BEINGS!
